4. Transnationales Treffen in Barcelona, Spanien, 13.-14. September 2021

The fourth transnational meeting of Digi Adults was successfully completed at Cornella d Lobregat (Barcelona, Spain) on the 13th and 14th of September 2021, with all partners attending, from 5 European partner countries – Poland, Austria, Czech Republic, Latvia and Spain (the hosting country).

In the morning, after welcoming and presentation of the meeting agenda by M&M Profuture Traning, S.L., the progress of the project was presented and then discussed by all partners. Very important point of the Agenda was also the issue „how partners will use the project results and how the project has influenced digital education in their organizations“. The E-Brochure (“Digital Inclusion of Adults – Collection of good Practices) was presented by the VAEV (Austria) team and discussed with regards to content, format and specifications. The project’s implementation and results were evaluated, and future steps were planned and decided. After knowing the partners’ opinions and future plans, Vladimir Papousek from (Právě teď! o.p.s.) made presentation about the Digital inclusion of senior citizens – from the teacher’s perspective. Finally, Project management issues were presented by Polish coordinator.

Then, after having a lunch together an educational visit connected with digital focused education: Torrebarrina (https://torrebarrina.l-h.cat/) was done. Torre Barrina, is a municipal center for multimedia creation and digital training of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. The first day of the meeting ended at the 18.30.

On the second day, in the morning, a cultural programme/guided visit of Barcelona old town was organized by M&M Profuture Training, S.L.The second day of the meeting ended sharing a table for analyzing the project and the visit.

3. Internationales Treffen in Riga, Lettland, 3.-4. September 2021

The 3 rd. Transnational meeting w as successfully completed in Riga, Latvia. The meeting w as attended by representatives from all partners from 5 European countries – Poland, Austria, Spain, Czech Republic, and Latvia. During the meeting, the progress of the project was discussed, including the issues of: • Digital education in partner institutions • Educational events at local level (w orkshops, course, seminar) for adult learners w ith the result of grow ing their digital skills (presentation by all partners) In addition, all partners presented the promotion of the project in local community, including target groups identified in each partner institution as w ell as dissemination activities undertaken in each partner country.

As a part of the meeting, Digi Adults case study w as organized – Linda Kluša from NGO Education Development Centre (Latvia) spoke about teaching Latvian language to foreigners using digital tools and ICT, discussing struggles and benefits of distance learning. NGO Education Development Centre has been offering Latvian language lessons to foreigners, w ho are looking for a job in Latvia, for more than 10 years and, until the pandemic, only offered in-person classes. Linda’s organisation adapted to the situation, creating new methodology to teach via online platforms and successfully continue their w ork. Organisation faced new difficulties regarding technology available to them and their teachers, but solved many issues by hiring technical support staff. NGO Education Development Centre will continue offering both online and in-person classes to their students in future, as w ell as use new digital materials, such as video or audio, in their in-person lessons.

On the second day, the partners visited Riga’s main historical centre. During the sightseeing, partners made the general overview of the meeting and discussed about the upcoming tasks that need to be accomplished before the final TPM.

    11Questions, remarks, suggestions..

    After welcoming and presenting (sharing) of the meeting agenda, participants started with brief summary about implementation of the project in each partner country during COVID-19 pandemic time (including the issue how we try to adjust the implementation of our local activities and overcome obstacles). Generally speaking, all partners are moving towards supporting adult education courses with online tools and methods. Some made some attempts using video conferencing as a tool.

    Then, Polish coordinator presented some announcements, tips and remarks from National Agency which may be helpful for project implementation and reporting.
    Afterwards, the attention of the participants was directed to two points from Ghant_Plan:

    • A4 – Local training for adults in each country – i.e.: organizing at least two educational events (workshops, course, seminar) for adult learners with the result of growing their digital skills.
    • A5 – Exchange of good practice data collection (each partner shared good practices example in relation to digital inclusion in adult education context).

    Regarding point A5 – three partners (PL, CZ, LV) implemented so far one educational event (workshops, course, seminar) for adult learners, two partners (ES, AT) had to postpone a little bit this local event due to pandemic time, however it will be implemented as soon as it is formally possible.

    As regards point „A6 – Exchange of good practice”, so far, each partner shared at least one good practices example in relation to digital inclusion in adult education context:

    Nextly, partners agreed that 3rd project meeting (planned for July 2020), Riga, Latvia – will be postponed due to Covid-19 pandemia. As regards TPM in Barcelona (planned for November 2020) the decision will be taken later depending on the epidemic situation.

    Finally, the partners discussed the issue of Interim Report.

    1. Internationales Treffen der Projektpartner in Polen vom 17. bis 18. Oktober 2019.

    Das Treffen fand in Krakau statt. Veranstalter und Gastgeber des Treffens war der polnische Partner: Education and Media Foundation.

    Ziel des Treffens war es zunächst, jede Institution vorzustellen (Präsentationen), Ideen und Visionen im Zusammenhang mit der Umsetzung des Projekts zu diskutieren und den Aktionsplan zu verfeinern. Informations- und Werbemaßnahmen sowie die Verbreitung der Ergebnisse wurden ebenfalls erörtert.

    Während des Treffens wurden Aktivitäten zur Förderung Polens geplant, darunter eine Präsentation über unser Land, über die polnische Küche (einschließlich Drucke mit Namen von Gerichten auf Polnisch und deren Entsprechungen auf Englisch) und eine kurze Lektion Polnisch (Polnischunterricht – Grundbegriffe in 5 Minuten)). Es sind auch kulturelle Aktivitäten geplant, um das Wissen der Teilnehmer über die von ihnen besuchte Stadt zu erweitern. Zu diesem Zweck wurden Krakau-Touren mit einem professionellen Führer organisiert.
